Dr. Snedegar is a 1959 graduate of Morris Harvey College and a Graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been a pastor for over 50 years. His wife Linda is employed by the Ghareeb Dental Group she has served as office manager for over 30 years. Together they have four children, ten grand children, and two great grand children. -
Barry Skeenes has been at Calvary Baptist Church since February of 2013. He has experience in music and stage productions, has led several choirs and ensembles, and has served on several church staffs. He has sung with oratorio choruses in the Washington D.C. area as a soloist and has performed a wide array of performance venues including in Great Britain. You can regularly find him composing and arranging solo, choral, and instrumental music. As The Skeenes Project, he performed a series of concerts with orchestra as a part of Goodnight, Charleston's New Years Eve celebration. He is a graduate of Carson-Newman College (now University) in Jefferson City, TN. Mr Skeenes also works as an independent writer.
Anna Faye Ray began working at Calvary Baptist in June 2012. She previously worked with a medical office in administration for 23 1/2 years. She volunteers for CORE (Center for Organ Recovery & Education) also enjoys painting.-
Kristi Thornton has been serving as the pianist at Calvary Baptist Church since June 2010, providing quality music for our worship and special services.She also performs stirring piano concerts for Calvary Baptist as well as other churches and organizations. Her piano selections, renditions, and ability to present songs in an extraordinary way are nothing short of captivating. Ms. Thornton is also an 8th grade teacher at Stonewall Jackson Middle School. Her daughters, Grace and Faith, keep her busy with school, music lessons and karate.
Custodian since 2001. He is a lifelong Calvary member. Also Tom is an Alumni of Virginia Tech and is married to Mary, having one son Stephen. Tom enjoys Western movies and Calvary Softball.
I began attending Calvary Baptist in 1969 after Becky and I were married and became an active member in 1982. I have served on Deacon, Mission and Trustee boards. I retired from FMC Corp. in 2003.
